How to Baby-Proof Your Restroom

Rubber Duck

The bathroom can be one of the most hazardous rooms in your home for a baby. There are many precautions you can take to ensure your bathroom is baby-friendly such as keeping all sharp objects, medications, chemicals and hair-styling tools in locked compartments out of reach. A cabinet and drawer lock is recommended for these items. Placing a bath spout cover over the bathtub faucet will protect your baby or toddler from the sharp metal edge of the faucet. Outlet plugs prevent little hands from placing objects inside. Lastly, an important step to creating a safe bathroom is keeping the toilet lid down with a lock on at all times. This prevents mischievously curious toddlers from opening the toilet and causing any accidents.
